Where can I find a shard of Farosh's horn? ›

Shards of Farosh's Horn can be gathered by shooting at the horns of the dragon Farosh, who can be found at Lake Hylia, Lake Floria, and the Gerudo Highlands. The Shard will glow as it falls to the ground. Meals cooked using a Shard of Farosh's Horn will have a buff lasting thirty minutes.

Strike Farosh's Mouth with an arrow to knock a Shard of Farosh's Fang loose. When knocked loose, Shard of Farosh's Fang will rest momentarily before falling. Grab the fang quickly if possible—otherwise, you may need to skydive after it.

Farosh begins early morning at both Lake Hylia and Lake Floria. Fly down from Lake Tower to the top of the first bridge tower and wait for it to appear. When you see the updraft, paraglide parallel to the bridge which will bring you up close and personal with Farosh.

Farosh, the Lightning Dragon, can often be spotted near the Faron Grasslands to the right of the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower, or in a small stretch of desert near that tower. Starting from the Tower, the Dragon moves southeast, following the canyon before straightening its course to head east towards Lake Hylia.

Note that Farosh may not spawn if you wait at the same location too many times in a row, or during weather. Be careful of Farosh's electric aura because if you paraglide too close it may knock you out of the sky. This is a relatively easy farming location during the early game.

Farosh's Scales can be collected from the Dragon, Farosh, who typically flies around Lake Hylia, Lake Floria, and the Gerudo Highlands. Link must shoot anywhere along the main body of Farosh to receive a Scale, except the horns, teeth, or claws. It will subsequently fall somewhere on the land in the form of a light.

Farosh can be found emerging from the large East Gerudo Chasm on the southeast side of the Gerudo Desert, just south of the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

You can technically land on Farosh without any special armor, but the areas it frequents tend to be freezing. Wear cold-resistant armor or make cold-resistant recipes to stand the temperature. The best place to hitch a ride on Farosh is from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

Once you're near Riola Spring, put down some wood and light it with some flint or a fire weapon. Then, sit and rest until morning. Resting until morning skips time to 5am, which is exactly when Farosh rises out of the spring. At 5am, you will notice Farosh appear.
